Workplace design is at the heart of Liqui’s design for DeSoutter Medical, a leading manufacturer of surgical equipment in Buckinghamshire. With a focus on enhancing employee well-being and productivity, we created modern, functional spaces including the staff canteen, communal spaces, meeting rooms, boardroom, event space, and auditorium.

The Workplace design throughout the project strikes a balance between style and functionality, ensuring that each area meets the needs of employees while encouraging a comfortable and productive work environment.

Welcoming Guests with a striking entrance feature.

As you enter the commercial unit, guests are immediately welcomed with a unique lighting display. This chandelier-effect arrangement of Oak capped Whittington pendants, designed and manufactured by our contract furniture and lighting team, serves as a focal point, setting the tone for the entire Workplace design.

A Modern Office Design with Efficient and Comfortable Meeting Rooms.

Progressing further into the office, we designed communal spaces that feature oak-faced panelling and sleek wall-mounted lights, reinforcing the clean and modern aesthetic. This thoughtful approach to office design ensures that the atmosphere remains inviting and functional throughout the communal areas.

In the meeting rooms and boardrooms, our design team created a modern yet relaxed environment by using oak-faced wood slat panelling. This not only enhances the room’s acoustic properties but also aligns with the overall Workplace design and the project’s emphasis on productivity and well-being.

A Vibrant and Functional Cafeteria.

In the cafeteria, we adopted a vibrant and engaging colour palette, contrasting with the more subtle tones seen in the traditional office design. The Workplace design here focuses on user flow, with different materials on the floor, such as terrazzo tiles, to differentiate walkways from seating areas. The L-shaped service bar ensures smooth staff traffic while maintaining visibility across the space.

At the rear of the cafeteria, a breakout area offers employees a relaxed space to unwind.

Throughout the space we designed a suspended ceiling featuring wooden slats and flat panelling, echoing the contrast seen on the floor between movement and seating zones to aid in visual way-finding.

Multifunctional Office design reflected in a bespoke auditorium and events space.

The auditorium is a key part of the healthcare office design for DeSoutter Medical. Its multifunctional nature allows it to host training sessions, conferences, and presentations, whilst maintaining a transitional flow between adjacent rooms, such as their event and training space and cadaver room. Seating has been arranged in semi-circular tiers, with fold-up tables for employee convenience. Motorised blackout blinds at the rear, combined with acoustic fabric panelling, create the perfect environment for presentations—further enhancing the comprehensive Workplace design.
