In another of our coffee shop collaborations, Liqui undertook the interior design of this vibrant new coffee shop while our branding agency Crate47 undertook the branding so that one complimented the other.

Crate47 developed a calligraphic style cafe logo that incorporated both hand-drawn text and a brush stroke circle motif. These two elements were developed to be used both together and separately as on the back of the business card. They also undertook the graphic design of various other print items including loyalty cards and the coffee shop menu.

A fully responsive specialist coffee website was created by Crate47 too. This conveyed the look and the feel of the brand as well as being informative about what Kaafi had to offer. Once Liqui had completed the interior, Crate47’s photographers undertook a photo shoot, providing all of the visual content for the website, as well as for social media. They also created a short promotional video for marketing purposes.

Kaafi is a great example of Liqui’s coffee shop interior design ‘concept to reality’ service that we can provide for clients around the world if and when required. In the case of Kaafi, as well as the café design, we manufactured furniture and lighting in the UK before shipping it to the Netherlands; while our build team, working to our full specifications, undertook the coffee shop fit-out through to the finished interior. We even provided the complete cafe branding through our sister company Crate47.

Kaafi is an independent coffee house in the heart of The Hague. Our coffee connoisseur client wanted a welcoming, cosy and elegant place for his customers to meet, relax or work while enjoying his specialist coffee. Our solution is an eclectic mix of refined Scandi with a dash of industrial through the use of some interesting materials such as reclaimed wood. The deep, fairly narrow interior is broken up into several irregularly shaped areas. We chose to divide these into different seating areas which are partially delineated by a variety of floor coverings and wall treatments, as well as the different furniture and lighting that we chose to use in each.
