For the Armada 1903 Terrace – Rooftop Bar and Lounge project, we created a contemporary bar interior design concept that seamlessly blends biophilic tranquillity with functional sophistication. Our approach focused on combining natural materials, thoughtful layouts, and a strong connection between interior and exterior spaces.

Working alongside Crate47, our in-house branding agency, we started by developing the brand identity for Armada Terrace. The heritage-style written logo features a thin, Art Deco-inspired serif font, designed to reflect the timeless elegance of the space. A neutral colour palette of black and white was chosen for the brand, ensuring versatility and ease of use across various applications.

The Lounge Bar – Relaxed Sophistication.

At the heart of the lounge bar concept is a space designed for comfort and elegance. A bespoke cocktail bar design provides a central focal point, perfectly complemented by considered seating arrangements to encourage a laid-back yet refined atmosphere.

To enhance the sense of luxury, we incorporated decorative lighting elements that add warmth and ambience, ensuring the space feels inviting for guests day or night.

The Gallery – A Light-Filled intimate venue.

"A restrictive space turned into a bright, airy gallery where natural light takes centre stage.

The gallery was designed to create a sense of openness, transforming a challenging layout into a light-filled environment. A large skylight and bifold doors connect the gallery to the rooftop terrace, bringing natural light into the space and drawing the eye toward the views beyond.

To soften the linear space, we introduced integrated greenery through planters and carefully designed seating arrangements. Subtle details, such as mirrored surfaces and oak parquet flooring, further enhance the flow of the space, creating a seamless transition between areas.

The Rooftop Terrace Bar – Open and Inviting.

For the rooftop terrace bar, our design focused on versatility and connection to the outdoors. With a mix of seating options, the terrace accommodates everything from casual drinks to group gatherings. Green walls, ambient lighting, and a carefully planned layout ensure the terrace offers a relaxed yet vibrant setting, day or night.

The result is an inviting roof top bar where the natural elements, contemporary finishes, and spatial flow work together to create a truly memorable experience.

Throughout the Armada Terrace project, our focus was on creating an intuitive bar layout that enhances the guest experience. Archways were used to create natural transitions between spaces, maintaining an open, cohesive feel while subtly defining zones.

From the relaxed elegance of the lounge to the vibrant terrace bar, the design connects each area while ensuring they retain their own identity.
