Rise coffee

Rise was another joint project with our branding agency Crate47, who created the brand and print design for this speciality coffee house in Dubai, while Liqui undertook the interior design.

The name Rise refers to the lift that coffee drinkers get, particularly in the morning, so Crate47 incorporated the idea of a rising sun into the otherwise typographical logo design by raising the dot of the ‘i’ higher than it would normally be placed. The colour gold was also introduced for the dot as a reference to the glow of the sun.

The sub-branding included a pattern that was a repeat of the house shape that was integral to the coffee shop design. This had come about because our client had talked about creating a home from home for their customers. The pattern helped to tie the brand and interior together as it was used throughout the graphic design of several print items required for the coffee shop. These included a clipboard style menu design, aprons, paper cups, takeaway bags, and business cards.
