As part of a major expansion programme, Wayland Games commissioned Liqui to design the office interiors of their new headquarters, a workspace located at the heart of their fast growing distribution hub in Essex. The brief was to create an environment that celebrates the unique culture of one of the UKs leading tabletop gaming companies, a space that feels as engaging and imaginative as the worlds they create. This included workplace consultancy at the early stages to ensure the new office design supported the way the team collaborates and works day to day.

Waylands team is made up of deeply passionate individuals who have turned their love of gaming into their career. Our office design approach celebrates that spirit, combining brand identity with an immersive sense of fun. The aim was to move beyond a traditional corporate layout, introducing colour, energy, and moments of personal expression throughout the space. As workplace design consultants, we looked at how the office layout could enhance both productivity and creativity.

From the open plan work areas to the executive offices, boardroom, and reception, every part of the headquarters was designed to feel cohesive and connected. We balanced professional functionality with creativity within the office space interior, ensuring the environment not only supports productivity but also reflects the enthusiasm and craftsmanship that define the Wayland community.

Brand colours and visual motifs are woven into the design, not as decoration but as identity. The palette, furniture, and lighting were all selected to subtly echo the bold, dynamic character of the company and to support a new office design that feels unmistakably Wayland Games.

Custom joinery and bespoke cabinetry were created in our own workshops, designed specifically to display staff collections and personal artefacts, from painted miniatures to prized collectibles. These details transform the workspace into something truly personal, a place where employees can showcase their creativity and feel ownership over their surroundings.
